Kuma's Corner Lunch CrowdMy first visit to Kroll’s was a Saturday night in the summer before I was catching the train back to the suburbs. Upon walking in, I had something of déjà vu as the bar itself somewhat resembles the set of Cheers. The bar sits on the right hand side of the restaurant, surrounded by about 20 stools, and is filled to the brim with different elixirs. They also offer an extensive beer list, including specialty beers. To the left of the bar are large screens, equip with projectors, that make for the perfect display of any sporting event. Once you walk past the bar and the front dining section, there is a second (and equally as large) dining area toward the back with roomy booths and tables.

Kuma's Corner Lunch Crowd While one might assume with the color scheme of black and red it is a Chicago Bulls or Hawks bar, the colors seem set to match the University of Wisconsin gear all around the establishment. This gives Kroll’s the distinction of being a Badgers bar. The bar is filled to the brim with different selections and the food menu is not too shabby, either. Offering American style cuisine with staples like burgers, sandwiches, and pizza, there is a little something for any palette. While the food offered generally satisfies the lunch and dinner appetite, Kroll’s also has a brunch menu on the weekend that includes a good bang-for-your-buck mimosa option.

Kuma's Corner Lunch CrowdIn addition, patrons can also enjoy a variety of events including trivia nights and wine and paint nights. Trivia typically takes place every Wednesday night and the house is packed with competitive teams. Happy Hour is offered during the week from 4 to 6 p.m. with different drink and food specials. Each time I’ve visited, I’ve had great service and have been happy with the food and drink I received. This is a perfect bar to hang out and unwind after a long day of work. It’s also nice in the summer when sidewalk tables are available. For more information, check out the Kroll’s website.
