Drinking craft beer is an official pastime of Chicago residents, and as such, brewery tours and bar crawls make for a great activity for a bachelorette party.
To get the best out of your boozy brewery bar crawl, try to plan ahead and set some guidelines:
For a brewery tour/bar crawl with multiple stops, arrange transportation ahead of time with a sober driver who can ensure your safety from place to place.
-
Make sure to eat a hearty meal before drinking, and for a full day of events, plan stops for snacks. Many of the options on this list have food available for purchase.
-
Most brewery tours have specific times and limited capacity, so call ahead to make a reservation for your group, and plan your schedule accordingly.
-
Pace yourself. Beer flights are a great way to try a variety of a brewery’s beers without getting too drunk too fast.

Hopewell Brewing is basically a Pinterest board in real life. You’ll love their
style,
and the fact that this Chicago brewery seems to cater to the fairer sex. Check out a tour, or just stay for a beer in the taproom. Either way, you’ll get some great pictures to commemorate the night!

Revolution is a Chicago born and bred brewery, with two taprooms in the city. Their brewpub doesn’t have
tours,
but provides a convenient location when compared with many of the others on this list. If you’re stuck on a tour, check out their location at 3340 N Kedzie. Tours are free, and you can bring your own food!

All beers all day = major bloating. Take a break from the brews by checking out Chicago Distilling Company. They offer tours, but you’ll have just as good of a time sipping at the bar in their taproom. The syrups they use to mix with their cocktails are all made in-house!
3925 W Dickens Ave
Off Color Brewing is yet to offer an on-location drinking experience, but you can
get a look behind the scenes during one of their brewery tours. Luckily, you’ll also get the opportunity to sample their beer during the tour, and take away bottles you like
afterwards
(BYOB, anyone?).
Half Acre Beer Company
4257 N Lincoln Ave
If you want a tour, you’ll have to start the day early.
11am
to be exact, and honestly before that to guarantee your spot in line. If
11am
is too early to get things going, you can still check out Half Acre’s taproom at your convenience during your bachelorette bar crawl.

Arguably the best brewery experience in Chicago, Lagunitas is regrettably also one of the most annoying to get to. Make sure you have a designated driver, then head over to this immaculate monument of beer. The tour is free (and heavy in samples) and there’s tons of entertainment once you head over to the taproom.
