Chicago Bar Project "Bite"

We became familiar with Café Orchid when multiple cab drivers recommended it as having the best Turkish food in the city. Being a BYOB, we agree wholeheartedly, even though we love A La Turka (just a bit further south on Lincoln). If you've never had Turkish food, just think of the Donor Kebab as Turkish gyros without the thick pita bread. Our recommendation: get the Iskender Kebab with the grilled vegetable appetizer with the baklava for dessert, the best we've ever had. Also, the outdoor patio is surprisingly peaceful given its proximity to Addison, Lincoln & Ravenswood. Bonus: free parking in the lot that also serves Ashland Addison Florist Co. For more information, check out the Café Orchid website. Çserefe!
